waking up
This is what I hear in the morning in the monitor. Names and details may vary.
"Daddy. Daddy. DADDY! I need my Daddy."
Pause.
"Oooga Boooga."

This is what I hear in the morning in the monitor. Names and details may vary.
"Daddy. Daddy. DADDY! I need my Daddy."
Pause.
"Oooga Boooga."
Mama: Time for your nap, where's your blankie?
TJ, clapping hands: Come here blankie!
Today TJ woke up sad because he missed his Daddy so I asked John to send TJ a text message via my phone.
I read it to TJ. "TJ, I will see you tonight and we will play hide and go seek. Oooga Booga."
TJ looked at me, smiled, and said "that's funny!"
Julia isn't sleeping here in Coffee Exchange, like she is supposed to be doing.
TJ held onto his hat almost the entire car ride so it wouldn't blow away, even though the windows were closed.
Julia has found her thumb and sucks as if her life depends on it. It's really quite endearing.
TJ is getting to be such a big boy. He's still my little boy though but can talk and understand more and more everyday. I just realized today that he hasn't thrown his food from the table in a really long time, something that was a common occurrence not too long ago. On the other hand, I still have him sitting in highchairs in restaurants and sleeping in a crib. I figure as long as he doesn't object, I'm milking it for as long as I can.
The Sleepless Wonder is not napping. I can hear him in his crib singing "one two three, Tri-angle! Oh yeah!"
Yes, I'm going to talk about poo.
Julia slept for about 12 hours last night, from 8ish to 8ish this morning. Woohoo! She was saving up her energy for the poo that she has been holding in for three days.
You know how they talk about poo changing? The little baby poo is not stinky and as time goes on, it gets worse> Well, she has certainly affirmed that the stinky rite of passage happens just around the 3-month-old mark.
Wooowee.
So many clothes for this little girl!
Getting rid of anything that says Princess.
Keeping anything with ruffles on the bum.
I could start our own clothing store.
Seriously. I am never going to have to buy clothes for her until she is about 2 years old. Yay!
Just cleared out most of the newborn to 3-month-old stuff. A little sad. I found a whole drawer of stuff that we didn't even touch.
Julia has been sleeping since a little before 10 pm last night. It is now 11:08 am. We keep on checking on her and she's just chilling out, sleeping away, sucking her thumb.
3-months-old so may be going through a growth spurt?
Seeing Julia smile her gummy little smile at TJ is so cute it melts my heart.
I was not impressed with the "photo studio" of JCP the other day.
I was also not impressed with TJ who was supposed to be holding Julia, flopping her onto her belly and saying "it's time for tummy time" which is why we only ended up with one photo of the two of them together, of which I could have taken much better with my new SLR.
"Mama, I took a little snooze."
