Another beach, possibly voted best in America, where a sea turtle swam about 8 feet away from me.

Bellows Air Force Station. Kayaking.

Mai tais.

New friends.

Palm trees and mountains.

7 am until 8 pm in a pax terminal waiting for a 9 hour flight to North Carolina on a C17, which was 40 degrees.

TJ said "Mommy" 20,000 times when he saw me. So so sweet.

Home at last.

I'm pretty sure Facebook is messing with me.

I deactivated my account, but every now and then, I reactivate it and I go in and look. Mostly when I'm on hold or doing something else entirely. At least that way I'm able to rationalize that I'm not completely just wasting time.

But today those mofos are catching onto my agenda. I signed in, looked at some stuff, and went to deactivate my account for another few weeks.

The site kicked me out and now won't let me sign on.

The nerve.

Just watched Hot Tub Time Machine. Funny and unbelievable how this movie brought back so many memories of the '80s.

Watched the Hangover again last night. Funny too. It took me the entire movie to fold all the laundry that accumulated while I was gone.

I don't usually watch comedies, but I must need some cheering up.

A guy at the gym - where I was Friday night, for the first time in a long time - asked me if I was sad. He introduced himself, shook my hand and told me that the Lord loves me.

Which I thought was kind of nice.

I'll take it.

TJ and Julia refer to disposal cameras as "scrap cameras."

Me: Honey, I ran the CVS 5k in 32:57 today, and I haven't run three miles in a long time!

John: That's great! But why were you gone for 5 1/2 hours?

Sometimes as I'm browsing the internet, sucked into some crazy world that I have no interest in, I wonder to myself, "why am I even looking at this?"

Such is the case with the America's Next Top Models makeovers. There were fifteen, but proudly, I stopped looking after seven.

But then I came across this and I realize that browsing isn't really so bad.

It is autumn now, right? September? Leaves are changing, I know that for sure. I saw 'em myself. Vibrant red and yellows. They mean it, just like they do every year.

So why am I still wearing sundresses and open toed shoes?

Oh the open toed shoes. They are new and I'm wearing them tomorrow. Red patent leather and cute as heck.

My boots can wait. So can the corduroys I bought. And sweaters. Cozy, cozy, sweaters. And tights. Oooo I have so many cute tights.

OK, maybe I'm ready for fall.

Mama: OK, TJ, goodnight.

TJ: Rub my back!

Mama: It's time for bed, go to sleep.

Pause.

OK, I'll rub it three times. 1. 2. 3.

TJ: You didn't even rub it the last time!

Mama: OK, 1.2.3.

TJ: 4. 5. 6. 7.

Mama, walking out of the room: Goodnight TJ, we love you honey.

TJ: GIVE ME A MASSAGE!!!

John and I had the opportunity to get away for a night. We ate and slept. We watched movies. I swear, we have seen more movies in the past few weeks than we have in the past few years.

Up in the Air.Couples Retreat. We watched them both on tv, just by stumbling across them. Googled the subject matter and the actors to figure out what movies we watched.

We ate lunch at Shula's, dinner at the Oyster Bar and brunch at The Apartment. Yum to all.

How can it already be the end of September?
